አፍሪካ ከፍተኛውን የስንዴ መጠን ለማምረት ከሚችሉ ሀገራት መካከል ኢትዮጵያ አንዷ ናት። ነገር ግን ስንዴን አሁንም ከውጭ ታስገባለች። አሁን ግን ከውጪ በማስገባት ፈንታ በመስኖ ልማት አማካኝነት ምርታማነትን ለመጨመር አቅደናል። በቤኒሻንጉል ጉሙዝ እና በጋምቤላ በቅርቡ የታዩት ውጤቶች ተስፋ የሚጣልባቸው ናቸው። በሶማሌ ክልል የቆላ ስንዴ ምርትም እንዲሁ የሚያበረታታ ነው። ለዓመታዊው የ #አረንጓዴ ዐሻራ የሚሆን ችግኝ በሦስቱም ክልሎች በሚገባ እየተዘጋጀ መሆኑን ተገንዝቤያለሁ።

While #Ethiopia is one of the largest wheat producers in #Africa, our aim is to further enhance productivity through irrigation schemes as part of import substitution endeavours. Recent activities in Beninshangul-Gumuz and Gambella are promising. As is implementation of lowland wheat production in Somali region. I am also pleased to learn the progress in seedlings production in nurseries throughout the three regions as we prepare for the annual #GreenLegacy planting season.

ኢትዮጵያ ለምታልመው ዕድገት የስኬት ቁልፉ የተፈጥሮ ሀብቷን ለኢኮኖሚ ግንባታ በአግባቡ መጠቀም ነው፡፡ የ #GERD የቴክኒክ ኮሚቴ ስላቀረበው የሁኔታ ትንተና አመሰግናለሁ፡፡ የ #Ethiopia እና የ #Africa የዕድገት ምልክት የሆነውን የ #Nile ውኃን ኢትዮጵያ እና የታችኛው ተፋሰስ ሀገራት በፍትሐዊ መንገድ እንዲጠቀሙ በቁርጠኝነት መሥራታችንን እንቀጥላለን፡፡

Ethiopia aspires to grow and the foundation of this growth is our economic development anchored in utilisation of our natural endowments. I thank the #GERD technical committee for their status update presentation. A symbol of #Ethiopia’s and #Africa’s progress, we remain committed to fair and equitable usage of #Nile waters for the shared economic benefits of Ethiopia and downstream riparian countries.

በአፍሪካ ነጻ የንግድ ቀጣና ንግድ መጀመሩ ለአህጉራችን ትልቅ ደስታ ነው፣ እንኳን ደስ ያለን። አዲሱ የአፍሪካ ወሰን አእምሮዎቻችን ለሐሳብ፣ ገበያዎቻችን ደግሞ ለንግድ ክፍት የሚሆኑበት ቀጣናዊ ውሕደት ነው። ንግድ በእጅጉ አሳሳቢ የሆኑ ግንኙነቶችን ቀለል የማድረግ ባህሪይ አለው። የተቀናጁ ገበያዎች ደግሞ ብልጽግናን ያስገኛሉ።

Congratulations to our continent for the beginning of trading under the African Continental Free Trade Area (#AfCTA)#AfCTA. The new frontier for #Africa is indeed regional integration, where minds are open to ideas & markets are open to trade. Trade defuses the most fraught relations & integrated markets generate prosperity.

የ #አፍሪካ ጊዜ አሁን ነው! አብረን ከድህነት ማጥ እንመንጠቅ። የደኅንነት ዋስትናችን በጋራ እናስጠብቅ። የገዛ ክብራችንን ሌሎች እንዲሰጡን ከመለመን በፍጥነት እንውጣ። ኢኮኖሚያችንን አቀናጅተን ሀብታችንን እና ዕውቀታችንን በማጣመር አጀንዳ 2063ን በጋራ እውን እናድርግ።

Yeroon #Afrikaa ammadha! Waliin taanee boolla hiyyummaa keessaa haa baanu. Wabii nageenyaa keenya waltaanee haa eegsifnu. Ulfina keenya ormarraa kadhachuu keessaa dafnee haa baanu. Dinagdee keenya qindeessinee, qabeenyaafi beekumsa keenya waltaasifnee Ajanadaa 2063 waliin haa dhugoomsinu.

The time for #Africa is now! Together we can climb faster out of the pit of poverty, insecurity and begging for dignity. Through economic integration, pooling our resources and knowledge, we can collectively realise Agenda 2063.

A united Africa is the foundation for our continent’s growth. Our natural resources and human capital are sufficient to catapult Africa into greatnesses if we commit to working together. The time for #Africa is now!
