Last month, we made our first donation, and PETA has shared a report on the impact of our contribution. Please take a moment to review the details, and we'll decide based on community feedback whether to continue our partnership with PETA!

Catizen's donation has supported PETA’s Global Compassion Fund (GCF) in helping cats worldwide. Here are some of the key achievements of GCF since its inception:

👌 Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, PETA Germany and GCF-supported teams have built a robust rescue network, saving over 16,500 stray cats who were left to fend for themselves amidst intense fighting.

👌 A staggering 3.3 million pounds of food and supplies have been delivered to Ukraine, with more shipments arriving monthly to prevent starving cats from suffering.

👌 Life-changing spay and neuter surgeries have been provided to over 150 animals each month.

👌 Beautiful safe spaces have been created, like the cat refuge shown below, currently home to more than 800 companion animal refugees.

📣 Beyond the stray cats in Ukraine, PETA’s Global Compassion Fund has extended its help to other regions:

👌 After last year’s deadly earthquake in Turkey and Syria, PETA provided crucial support to cats and other survivors, helping them escape dangerous conditions.

👌 In India, PETA’s teams have launched a massive cat sterilization project in Mumbai, having sterilized 4,400 cats and provided vital veterinary care.

👌 In Jordan, a PETA-supported clinic treated and sterilized 30 abandoned cats in the historic city of Petra.

👌 In Argentina, Peru, the Philippines, and Mexico, GCF donors have powered pop-up sterilization events, aiding hundreds of cats and dogs in impoverished communities, reducing the number of stray animals.

👌 In August, PETA will run another multi-day clinic in Mexico to help even more animals.

👌 In Romania, GCF-supported teams rescued an abandoned cat and her newborn kittens from a cardboard box. The cats immediately received veterinary care, food, a warm bed, and plenty of love at the team’s shelter.
